They are the largest marsupial and their babies are called Joeys. They are also the fastest hopping mammals. The crazy thing about kangaroos is that they go as fast as 70 kilometers per hour, but don’t use more energy as they speed up. They are some of the most muscular animals and most of those muscles can be found in their tail and back legs. Even though they are really good at moving fast, they are really bad at moving slowly. Funny right?

Kangaroos only eat grass and eat up to 10 hours a day eating. They have a special stomach that ferments the grass with bacteria that helps them digest without making them burp as much as cows and helps them build all those leg muscles. Pretty cool!
